This weekend was a bit overwhelming, but thanks to a professional massage, I spent two hours thinking about the difference between "relaxing" and "resting." Resting is what you do in front of a television, or while lying in bed trying to go to sleep and not think about all your worries. Relaxing, on the other hand, seems to me to be involving yourself in an activity that actually RELIEVES stress, and allows you to feel peaceful and let go. This is much harder to accomplish.
While we're on the subject or stress relief, may I recommend the ridiculous and indulgent website disapproving rabbits... I can't believe there is a whole blog about this. Or how much time I spent looking at it.
